I recently signed up as a member for Supercheats.com,
and they didn't even have Earthbound as listed! I thought this would be interesting because they are a famous cheat site, and they don't even have Earthbound cheats. I took action and put some cheats in, but
But don't forget to come back now, you hear?
I happen to come across a bunch of hacks today for Super Smash Bros.
Check it out!
Including new outfits, like Goblin Ness, and even a Moonside Fourside!
So most of you are familiar with starmen.net, right?
If you are, you're probably familiar with their annual Halloween and Christmas contests. But I'm going to work
on a contest myself, so here's what it is... drum roll please!
Design a new boss contest! Yay!
So here's the deal. I and another will judge drawings you send in of new bosses for any of the games of the Mother series. They all have to have something to do with the series themselves, and you CANNOT use any of the bosses used in games. Guidelines and rules will be posted later. Same with description of prizes and the deadline. So grab some paper and a pencil and get to work!
To send work, post in forum.
Okay, so this is a new site. And right now, I'm running it all by myself. And for those of you who do visit,
it would help to somewhat advertise this. So as of today, I am taking donations to improve this site, and I will
be taking letters from any of you who are interested in becoming administrators with me for this site. If you would like to join, just email me.
Please become a member if you want to participate in anything. Thank you.
Okay, so spice up the quote contest, I'm going to make it interesting.
Whoever gives me the correct answer first...
Wins a free homemade Mr.Saturn plushie!
So submit now!
(The plushie is not factory made, and is not worth much. I made it myself, but it's better than nothing.
The ones in stores are very expensive.)
So I've beat Earthbound a few times, and I've hacked into it. After plugging in a GameGenie, I put on a code that allowed you to walk through walls.
Pretty neat, no?
But I used it at the beginning of the game, when Ness first attempts to see the meteorite. But there was some cops blocking the path. So I turned on the code and walked right past them. Captain Strong and another man are there, but if you try to talk to them, they'll say nothing. Well no duh.
Usually players aren't suppose to get up there at that time, so they were never programmed to say anything.
I just thought it'd be interesting. Here, I'll even give you the code.
(Take into notice that the "O's and "0's" could be vice a versa.)
Okay, so now the backgrounds I use on this site are now up for download. But I cannot stress this enough.
DO NOT STEAL MY WORK!
All of those backgrounds are MY art, which I made in Paint and Photoshop. They are slightly unclean, and not that great, but do NOT steal them. Or I'll all over you like ninjas.
Thank you. http://pkrockin.webs.com/downloads.htm
Apparently, rumors have been going around with a different ending to Mother 3, and the unreleased, unfinished Earthbound 64. Game creator Shigesato Itoi said the original ending was much darker the the one used in the game.
WARNING! IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED AND FINISHED MOTHER 3, BE WARNED. SPOILER ALERT!
Apparently, when Lucas pulls the last needle, he's filled with the same feelings Claus was, so instead of saving the world, he destroys it. It's a lot darker, as Itoi said, but it is not yet proven true.
(I take no credit for this news. I obtained it from starmen.net So go there for deeper detail.)
I've actually had some requests for the backgrounds from my site.(Believe it or not.) So I'm working on having those available
to you. They'll be up for download soon.
When playing on the SNES, Earthbound is actually 2 player. Not intentionally, but you can use 2 controllers at the same
time. Interesting, no?
In Mother, Mt. Itoi is actually named after
the man who created the game, Shigesato Itoi.
I realize a lot of people know that, but hey.
No harm done.
Okay, so this is a segment that I call, "Did you know?"
Basically, just random game facts. Here's the first one.
The game Mother 1+2, the rock candy glitch was removed from the Mother 2 segment along with The Shattered Man glitch.
If you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, go here.
This is a real shame, the rock candy glitch was useful and the Shattered Man was fun to try.
Hey, why not? Mother's are what make the world go round.(And clean!)
In Sweet's Little Factory, it would be a really good idea to NOT eat the bread you bought, and use it instead.
AGAIN! USE the bread you bought, don't eat it! You'll see why.
Alright, so this needs spicing up, and Mother really needs more love, so let's do another tip, shall we?
So northwest of Reindeer is a house with this old guy. Talk to him, then go to the sign below the house, check it to find the old guy's dentures. Give them to him and he'll give you some mouthwash. After that, he'll sell it to you $10 bucks a bottle, unlike the store which sells it for it for $175, $165 more! (Wow)
Mouthwash sells for $87 at the store, and only losing ten dollars from that profit, you'd be ganging money, and everyone likes easy money. So easy, a ninja could do it!
Still trying to make a good start on this site, so how about some tips for the game that started it all, Mother?
There's not very much I can say, so here's one from a few.
At the Podunk Department Store, on the 5th level, the clerk is selling a Canary Chick for $80 bucks, but we don't want to waste good quality money, do we? Refuse their offer, and the clerk will hand over the chick for free, which free is always good.
Alright, so here's the first tip I got for Mother 3.
In the 1st chapter, after Flint has escaped from his little jail cell, go to Thomas' Bazaar. Here, you can obtain a valuable weapon for Flint, the strongest weapon in the 1st chapter, for free!
But here's the catch, the odds of it appearing are slim, and if you're not patient, you're going to have some issues.
Introducing the Better Stick!
I'll bring your offense up by 20!
(By the way, you can purchase it later for Lucas)
Alright, so I want to give this website a good start, so let's add more tips.
So a few days ago, I'm playing EarthBound and I'm in the Dusty Dunes Desert, and I back tag a Criminal Caterpillar, and I seriously get 30384 exp., no joke. Alright and the Bad Buffalo gives the next highest exp. points, but only a measly 4108 exp! So yeah, it's a secret to easily level up, but these bugs aren't as common as the other bad guys.
Just thought you could know.
Oh sweet, first one! Okay, so if your low on money in Happy Happy Village, before you beat the Carpainter, you should see a stand that has eggs and bananas. It says you should pay, but nothing's gonna get you if you don't...as long as you don't talk to the guy behind the tree watching the stand if you do "steal." Anyways, get an egg, or a lot, and just walk around for a while, then you should hear chirping. Walk around more until you hear beeping sounds. Go to the real store, and sell your now chickens for some good cash. That way, you'll be able to buy good equipment items.
I need help obtaining things for this site,
and whose better than fellow mother fans? Help me out!
